In a closed session vote Tuesday night, the Santa Clarita City Council denied a benefits claim filed by councilman TimBen Boydston; Concerns about the Arts Commission’s choices of three public art pieces led to the council tabling the decision to approve about $45,000 dollars in public art.

The founder of Santa Clarita based charity Help the Children, Robert Presgrove, passed away on Sunday, after a long battle with skin cancer; Friends and family of a young Santa Clarita couple killed in a weekend traffic collision shared memories, a few laughs and tears at a candle light vigil Tuesday night.

On Friday night, House Blend alum Sean Wiggins and her guitar-partner and producer Paul Houston bring their entertaining duo act to Wine 661, starting at 8 pm; And Saturday night at 10, it’s the premiere of Season 4 of SCVTV’s House Blend show with The Shoemaker Brothers, who rocked Concerts in the Park in 2012.
