np_102211ducky5Samuel Dixon Family Health Centers Inc. has announced the prize winners for the 11th Annual Rubber Ducky Festival held on Saturday, Oct. 5. The grand prize winner, Alan Ferdman, received a $2,500 cash. Second prize winner Elliot O’Niel received a $1,500 cash. Third prize winner Santa Clarita Animal Hospital received a $500 cash.

This year’s festival included two early duck adoption drawings. Early Duck Drawing One winner Gayle Whittemore received four Disneyland Parkhopper tickets valued at $500 plus $250 cash. “I have long supported the Samuel Dixon Family Health Centers,” Whittemore stated. The early adopter also committed to giving back half the cash to the non-profit organization. “Giving back when you have had good luck is what you do.”

Barry Gribbons won Early Duck Drawing Two and received $250 cash, and SCV Rotary was awarded the perpetual trophy as the team with the most duck adoptions.

Winning the grand prize came as a big surprise to Canyon Country resident Alan Ferdman upon hearing his name called for the $2,500 cash prize. “My wife and I have five grandchildren, so the family will all share in the winnings,” Ferdman said.

Prizes will be distributed at the SDFHC corporate office located at 25115 Avenue Stanford, Suite A-104 in Valencia. Winners should contact Katie Starkey at SDFHC at (661) 257-2339 to arrange for pick up.
