How to Be a Master Networker: There is no argument that Professional Networking is one of the most effective uses of your time when looking for a new job or trying to advance your career. Join us on Friday, November 8th from 1:00 pm – 2:30 pm for a panel presentation hosted by SCV Toastmasters that will teach you what you need to know to network your way to success! Master Networkers will discuss tips for mingling and networking, making the most of informal speaking opportunities in social settings, recognizing beneficial opportunities, and drawing others into your network in a way that will be beneficial to you both.
The Affordable Care Act for Job Seekers: Are you confused about how the Affordable Care Act impacts your ability to get health insurance as a job seeker? On Thursday, November 21st from 10 am – 11 am, the Samuel Dixon Health Center will be returning for a second time to provide an overview of how the Affordable Care Act impacts you as a job seeker. A representative will be here to help you understand some of the available health care plans and to show you the steps you need to take to begin the enrollment process.
