Oct. 12: Fundraiser for Upgrades to Newhall American Legion

logo-americanlegionJoin Newhall American Legion Post 507 at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 12, for the post’s first building fund fundraiser. Mayor Bob Kellar will be the keynote speaker, sharing the history of how the American Theatre became the American Legion, the legacy of William S. Hart and the  services American Legion Post 507 provides to Santa Clarita.

In 2012, Post 507 donated over $40,000 to local charities. We have also chartered 2 Cub Scout Packs, supported the SCV Food Pantry and partnered with the Veteran Employment Committee and the SCV Jaycees for annual toy drives to provide Christmas gifts to over 300 local kids.


In order to better serve the community and the Veterans we are chartered by Congress to serve, we are seeking community support to make several upgrades to Post 507. Our top priorities are:


1) Build an outdoor smoking patio in order that indoors will become smoke free;


2) Renovate/remodel office space in order to offer top notch VA disability claims filing to Veterans and dependents;


3) Upgrade kitchen floor, sink and ventilation system.


With these upgrades to Post 507 will be a first class Veteran Service Organziation providing first class services to the Santa Clarita Valley. We invite you to join us for a great night.
