[Lee Rogers] – Dr. Lee Rogers announced that he has picked up the endorsement of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 40 for his campaign for U.S. Congress in California’s 25th District.

“We are excited to endorse Lee Rogers again for the 25th Congressional District,” said IBEW Local 40 Business Manager Bill Brinkmeyer. “Dr. Rogers is a friend and advocate for California’s working families. He will be a much needed voice of reason in the House of Representatives, standing against the kind of irresponsible tactics that led to the government shutdown. Unlike his opponent, who supported this reckless behavior, we know Lee will be the leader his constituents deserve.”

The endorsement comes after several weeks of good news for the Rogers campaign. In the third fundraising quarter of 2013, Rogers outraised incumbent Buck McKeon, a committee chairman, $227,000 to $208,000. Last week, an independent poll found that McKeon would lose to a Democratic challenger 44% to 46% if the election were held today, Rogers said.

Dr. Lee Rogers is a nationally-renowned doctor specializing in podiatry at Valley Presbyterian Hospital in Van Nuys, where he co-directs the Amputation Prevention Center. Lee and his wife, Susan, live in Simi Valley where they are raising their two daughters, Emma and Lily.
