Spokes Indoor Cycling will open their doors and volunteer their studio to the students of SOAR. Head coach and co-founder of SOAR, Kevin Sarkissian, only had to mention it to the owners of Spokes and a fitness clinic was set in motion. Off And Running (SOAR), a division of the Santa Clarita Track Club, is dedicated to offering Santa Clarita Valley “at-risk” youth the opportunity to participate in a fully funded and supported, 22 week, 350 mile marathon training program.
On November 23, 2013 the instructors at Spokes will hold a free fitness clinic for the SOAR students aimed at educating the teens about the significance of cross training, specifically in the area of indoor cycling, aka “Spinning.” In addition to cycling benefits and skills, the students will be introduced to various simple exercise drills they can use to assist them in their marathon training.
Located in the heart of Santa Clarita and entering their third year of business, Spokesis a dedicated indoor cycling studio offering tailored cycling programs to fit all skill and fitness levels. Appealing to people of all ages, this zero impact, high intensity workout is a cardio best kept secret.
Spokes is the dream of three longtime Santa Clarita residents. Bridgette Strong, Partner/Owner of Spokes Indoor Cyclingremarked that, “We are very excited about our recent move to Soledad Canyon Road and we’re thrilled to continue to play a healthy role in so many SCV residents’ lives.”
Look for their “Grand Re-opening” in December.
