[L.A. County] – Due to scheduled renovations, all vehicular and pedestrian access to William S. Hart Regional Park will be limited to the park’s main gate beginning Tuesday, Nov. 12 through Tuesday, Dec. 3.
The renovations will be completed in and near the picnic grounds located on the west side of the park entrance, an area regularly used by visitors for outdoor dining, dog-walking and other recreational activities.
The limited pedestrian access will be prompted by renovations that include new pavement for the parking area, new security lighting along the picnic road and installation of a new automated irrigation system. Vehicle traffic in the picnic area will be strictly prohibited for the duration of the construction work, but patrons will be able to park in the main parking lot.
“This may be a temporary inconvenience for some visitors to the park, but in just a few short weeks there will be wonderful improvements that will benefit the many patrons who use the picnic grounds,” said Regional Park Superintendent II Norm Phillips. “We recognize what a wonderful resource Hart Park is for the community, and we appreciate everyone’s patience while we undertake these very important renovations.”
For more information about access to William S. Hart Regional Park during these renovations, contact the park office at (661) 259-0855 or visit http://parks.lacounty.gov.
