Christ Lutheran Church in Valencia has launched a “Boxes of Love” campaign to help those who are out of work or struggling to care for their families.
A “Box of Love” is a complete meal that feeds a family of 6 to 8 people with plenty of leftovers.
To build a box, each participant receives a menu card and an empty box, and then fills the box with the items on the list.
Christ Lutheran will distribute the boxes throughout not only our community, but to neighboring communities.
You can help by picking up a box and envelope in the church’s Narthex and filling it with the items requested. You may also include a note or have your child draw a picture for the recipient of the box.
The church will be accepting boxes through Nov. 17.
