Assemblyman Scott Wilk, R-Santa Clarita, issued the following statement celebrating the Lunar New Year – which occurs Sunday, Feb. 10, and is celebrated by many around the world as a time for renewal and reflection.
“The Lunar New Year is a special time as it marks the traditional beginning of the year for our Asian communities. These communities are an essential part of the Golden State, and I join them in celebrating this joyous occasion and wish them a Happy New Year,” Wilk said.
The 38th Assembly District encompasses Simi Valley, the northern section of the San Fernando Valley and most of the Santa Clarita Valley.
