Essential Steps for Writing a Business Plan

A business plan is a necessity for the success of your business! This workshop will cover all aspects of creating a business plan, as well as emphasize the importance of goals and outline methods to achieve these goals. Critical topics such as business development, marketing plans, advertising strategies, financial analysis & budgeting will be covered. Attendees may bring a laptop to work on their business plan during the training.

Sexual Harassment Prevention Training for Supervisors & Managers

This two hour course is designed to meet all AB1825 training requirements and will include: Definition of Sexual Harassment; Harassment, Discrimination & Retaliation Law; Prohibited Conduct; Remedies; Strategies to Prevent Harassment; Practical Examples; Limited Confidentiality; Resources; Effective Investigation; Other Forms of Harassment. Participants will be provided a Certificate of Completion. The instructor is human resource professional with over 20 years of experience as a Director of Human Resources.

QuickBooks Boot Camp
In this day long workshop, participants will learn how to set up their company file from scratch; how to create a quality chart of accounts; how to create new vendors, customer, items and accounts. You will also learn how to pay bills, invoice customers, receive payments, make deposits and reconcile bank accounts. An introduction to the report center will be covered, including how to create a Profit & Loss Statement and a Balance Sheet. Ideal for business owners, office managers, and bookkeepers who are brand new to QuickBooks, as well as, existing users who would like some formal education in one of these QuickBooks features. Training held in a computer lab with limited seating. Please note that there will be a one-hour lunch break, lunch not provided.

  • Establish Effective Branding Online – Website optimization (establishing your brand identity), localization of content and translation tools, and search engine optimization strategies.
  • Develop High Impact Internet Advertising Strategies – Develop a Google Ad-Word campaign, create an effective blog(s), understand and evaluate social media tools, participate in virtual events (webinars, trade fairs, other), and evaluate and measure results.
  • Identify Key Internet Research Tools – Finding buyers, agents, importers (develop trade contacts), identifying best markets and new opportunities, and effective competitive benchmarking strategies.
