[SUSD] - Saugus Union School District continues to exceed the state expectation for school-wide and district-wide API scores. With all schools over 800 and six schools above 900, our diverse students are among the highest performing in the State of California.
Scores throughout the state reflect the years of diminished funding and furlough days. With the passage of Proposition 30 and the new state funding formula, Saugus School District restored all furlough days and has begun to reduce class size. We are proud to offer 180 instructional days of school to our families and reduced class sizes in TK-1 of 27:1 and grades 2-3 of 29:1 with the goal of 24:1 within the next few years. Every employee is committed to maximizing each hour we have with our students in order to bring about personal and academic success for every child.
