California Small Businesses

Mark your calendars!

The Small Business Development Center Hosted by College of the Canyons, and Small Business Majority are holding a free listening session to help local small business owners and self-employed entrepreneurs learn what the new healthcare law, the Affordable Care Act, means for small business.

A panel of experts will focus on both federal and state provisions to help local small businesses understand how the law will affect them.

Topics include:

  • Small business tax credits-who’s eligible for them and how to claim them

  • State Health Insurance Exchange

  • High-risk Pools

  • Shared Responsibility

  • Cost Containment

  • Small Employer Wellness Programs

  • Tools and resources available for small businesses interested in learning more about the law

A question and answer period will follow.  A continental breakfast will be served.

There is a new tax credit for small businesses offering health insurance.

Are you capitalizing on it?
