Students Run, Read, Calculate to Raise Money for Newhall Elementary

Newhall Elementary School students took a grassy area on campus to run, read and calculate – all to raise money for their school.

More than 600 students receive pledges from family members and friends for taking part in three “marathons”.

“The primary goal is to raise money for the PTA,” said Second Grade Teacher Jason Shelton.

For Shelton and the staff at Newhall, the PTA assists with funding for a number of their activities including field trips, assemblies, and classroom materials.
